Job Description

Magnitude Recruitment is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Purser to join a 75m+ motor yacht operating a structured and professional programme.

This is a heavily administrative position with a strong focus on financial management, documentation, and operational logistics. The role works primarily behind the scenes, supporting the Captain, Management team, and Heads of Department to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the vessel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full management of yacht administration and operational documentation
  • Crew administration including contracts, certification tracking, travel logistics, and medical claims
  • Financial administration including budgeting support, expense tracking, and accounts management (Voly)
  • Preparation and maintenance of detailed financial reports and operational spreadsheets
  • Coordination with Management Financial Manager for financial reporting and accounts administration
  • Management of port clearance documentation, compliance, and regulatory paperwork
  • Coordination of guest logistics including ground transport, reservations, and itinerary support
  • Oversight of purchasing administration and supplier coordination
  • Maintaining accurate and organised crew records and vessel documentation

Key Requirements

  • Previous Purser experience or strong administrative background within yachting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills essential
  • Experience with Voly, DeepBlue, and Pinpoint Works preferred
  • Strong financial administration and reporting capability
  • Valid STCW certification and ENG1 (or equivalent)
