Deckhand / Bosun / Officer – Temporary Position

Start Date: Early November 2026
Contract: Temporary, approximately 3–4 months
Salary: €4,500–€5,000 per month DOE
Programme: Shipyard Period

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Deckhand / Bosun / Officer to join a 30m motor yacht for a temporary 3–4 month contract commencing in early November 2026.

The yacht will be undergoing a shipyard period, and the successful candidate will be confident undertaking practical deck maintenance, overseeing contractors and assisting with general vessel upkeep.

Requirements:

• Ideally 2–3 years' experience on motor yachts.

• Minimum commercially endorsed Yachtmaster 200 GT, recognised by the Malta Flag.

• Valid ENG1 medical certificate.

• Seaman's book.

• PWC Instructor qualification advantageous.

• Previous shipyard experience highly desirable.

• Practical, proactive attitude with strong maintenance skills.

Responsibilities:

• General deck maintenance and washdowns.

• Monitoring and coordinating shipyard contractors.

• Basic engine room maintenance and painting.

• Stainless steel and gelcoat polishing.

• General yacht upkeep throughout the shipyard period.

Salary: €4,500–€5,000 per month, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Contract Duration: Approximately 3–4 months.
