Job Description
Magnitude Recruitment is seeking an experienced and motivated 3rd Chef to join a well-established 75m+ private motor yacht operating a busy private programme.
This position is primarily focused on crew catering and galley support. The successful candidate will take ownership of producing high-quality, varied, and nutritious crew meals while maintaining exceptional standards of galley organisation, cleanliness, and hygiene. The role offers an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys creating diverse daily menus and takes pride in supporting a professional onboard team.

Key Requirements
- Previous experience onboard yachts preferred, although strong land-based culinary backgrounds will be considered
- Experience catering for large groups and producing varied daily menus
- Strong understanding of food hygiene, safety, and galley management
- Ability to work efficiently within a busy, multi-chef galley environment
- Organised, proactive, and self-motivated
- Team player with a positive and professional attitude
- Valid STCW certification and ENG1 (or equivalent)
- Food Safety & Hygiene qualifications preferred
- Open to all nationalities
Responsibilities
- Preparation and service of daily crew meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks
- Planning varied, nutritious, and well-balanced crew menus
- Assisting with provisioning, stock control, and inventory management
- Maintaining exceptional galley cleanliness and organisation standards
- Ensuring compliance with all food safety and hygiene procedures
- Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef as required
- Assisting with galley deep cleans and routine maintenance
- Contributing positively to the overall operation of the galley department
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a reliable and organised chef who enjoys the crew-focused aspect of yachting. They will be passionate about producing consistently high-quality meals, maintaining a well-run galley, and supporting a positive onboard environment. Previous yacht experience is advantageous, but candidates with strong culinary foundations and the right attitude will also be considered.
