Magnitude Recruitment is seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join a prestigious 100m+ private motor yacht operating a dual-season programme.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong culinary professional with previous large yacht or high-end hospitality experience who is confident working within a busy galley environment alongside an established Head Chef and culinary team. The ideal candidate will be organised, adaptable, and passionate about delivering consistently high standards for both guests and crew.
The vessel operates to an exceptionally high standard with an active owner programme and occasional guest usage, requiring a Sous Chef who thrives under pressure while maintaining professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail.

Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef onboard large motor yachts or within luxury hospitality/fine dining environments
- Experience working within structured galley teams
- Strong knowledge of international cuisine, healthy cooking, and modern presentation styles
- Ability to produce high-quality crew food alongside refined guest cuisine
- Confident managing provisioning, organisation, and hygiene standards
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Calm and professional attitude in fast-paced environments
- Culinary qualifications preferred
- Valid STCW certification and ENG1 (or equivalent)
- Fluent English communication skills
- B1/B2 Visa and Schengen Visa (if applicable)
Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef with all galley operations onboard
- Prepare and present high-quality meals for owners, guests, and crew
- Assist with menu planning, provisioning, and stock control
- Maintain exceptional hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the galley
- Ensure food preparation and storage complies with all health and safety regulations
- Assist with crew food planning and dietary requirements
- Support smooth day-to-day galley organisation during busy operational periods
- Maintain a positive and professional working environment within the galley team
- Step into leadership responsibilities when required in the absence of the Head Chef
