Job Description

Magnitude Recruitment is seeking experienced and professional crew members across all departments to join large sailing yacht programmes.

We are looking for candidates with a genuine passion for sailing yachts, strong work ethic, and the ability to operate within structured, high-performing teams. These roles are suited to individuals who are comfortable in a hands-on environment and understand the demands and standards of large sailing yacht operations.

Opportunities may be available across deck, interior, and engineering departments, depending on experience and programme requirements.


Key Requirements

  • Previous experience on large sailing yachts (40m+)
  • Strong understanding of sailing yacht operations and onboard culture
  • Hands-on approach with willingness to assist across departments when required
  • Positive attitude and strong team ethic
  • High attention to detail and professional standards
  • Valid STCW certification and ENG1
  • Relevant qualifications for department (e.g. Yachtmaster, OOW, AEC, interior experience, etc.)
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities (Department Dependent)

  • Deck: Sail handling, mooring, maintenance, watchkeeping, tender operations
  • Interior: Guest service, housekeeping, laundry, interior presentation
  • Engineering: Maintenance of systems, planned maintenance, troubleshooting, technical support
  • Support safe and efficient vessel operations at all times
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and professionalism
  • Contribute to a positive and team-focused onboard environment
