Job Description
Magnitude Recruitment is seeking a capable and hands-on Technical Deckhand to join a 65M+ motor yacht.
This role is designed as a primarily deck-focused position with additional responsibility supporting the technical department. The successful candidate will assist with the maintenance and upkeep of tenders and mechanical systems while contributing to daily deck operations.
The start date allows for a short handover period prior to the Lead Deckhand going on leave, ensuring a smooth transition within the team.
4/1 rotation, EUR Salary
Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a Deckhand on 30m+ yachts
- AEC 1 preferred
- Proven background as a Mechanic, Engineer, Tender Engineer, or Motorman
- Strong practical and hands-on technical ability
- Good understanding of deck operations and maintenance routines
- Valid STCW certification and ENG1
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
Deck & Technical Responsibilities
- Assist with daily deck operations including mooring, anchoring, and maintenance
- Support the upkeep, servicing, and maintenance of tenders and mechanical equipment
- Work alongside the technical department to assist with general engineering tasks
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation across deck and tender areas
- Support planned maintenance and ensure equipment is kept operationally ready
- Contribute to safe working practices across both deck and technical operations
