Job Description
Magnitude Recruitment is seeking an experienced and proactive Bosun to join a 50m+ private motor yacht operating within a family-orientated programme. This role is suited to a hands-on deck leader who takes pride in high standards, enjoys working closely with owners, and plays an active role in day-to-day yacht operations.
The successful candidate will be a visible, approachable leader on deck, comfortable working within a private family environment where owners are engaged and involved with the yacht and crew.

Key Requirements

Yachtmaster qualification (minimum)

Proven experience as a Bosun or Senior Deckhand on 50m+ motor yachts

Strong knowledge of deck operations, maintenance, and seamanship

Confident tender driving and watersports operations

Valid STCW certification and ENG1 (or equivalent)

Fluent English (spoken and written)

Europe-based or willing to be based in Europe (preferred)
Deck Operations & Leadership

Lead, train, and supervise the deck team, setting clear standards and routines

Maintain high standards of deck maintenance, cleanliness, and safety

Oversee mooring, anchoring, and tender operations

Ensure safe and enjoyable watersports and guest activities

Support navigational watches and passage preparation as required
Owner Interaction & Programme Support

Work professionally and respectfully in a family-orientated, private yacht environment

Support Owner involvement in yacht operations when appropriate

Maintain a calm, approachable presence on deck around family and guests

Represent the vessel positively at all times
