Job Description
Magnitude Recruitment is seeking a strong, experienced Head Chef to join a 55m+ private/light charter motor yacht currently in build phase in Holland, due for delivery in the Spring. This is a one-season programme operating primarily private with light charter use.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the galley operation. This role requires a confident, organised, and capable individual who is comfortable managing the galley independently.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as Head Chef on 55m+ motor yachts
- Strong all-round culinary ability (no specific cuisine focus, but high-level versatility essential)
- Experience in private and/or light charter operations
- Highly organised with strong provisioning and galley management skills
- Comfortable working as the sole chef onboard
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
- Fluent English (male or female candidates considered)
- Valid STCW certification and ENG1 (or equivalent)
Galley & Operational Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for the galley operation onboard
- Create versatile, refined menus tailored to Owner and guest preferences
- Cater for guests and crew to a consistently high standard
- Manage provisioning, budgeting, and stock control efficiently
- Maintain exceptional galley organisation and hygiene standards
- Coordinate service flow with the Chief Stewardess and interior team
